- MADE “ONE” BY THE COVENANT
There is one passage written by Moses that was quoted twice by Jesus and once by Paul:
Gen 2:24 – Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Mal 2:15 – The truth is that God has made them “One”, to bear Godly offspring.
Context: Because they divorced their Jewish wives and married pagan women, it became difficult for them to raise godly seed.
Mat 19:3-6 – What God has “joined” let no man put asunder – The husband and wife are declared one in the covenant of marriage while continually becoming one.
- LEAD YOUR LIFE AS “ONE”
Gen 2:24 – Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Do life together: your address, finances, and decisions – so in all major decisions you ought to say, “Let me consult with my spouse.”
Question -When Friends ask – Are we important to you or your wife?
Answer- “Wrong question – My wife and I are One. You cannot separate us.”
Question – Your mother or your wife – who’s more important?
A- “Wrong Question – My wife and I are one. We will both take care of our mother.”
Question – When anyone says – “Please don’t tell this to your wife.
Answer – Impossible! We are One.”
- HOW TO DEAL WITH PROBLEMS IN MARRIAGE
Magic words in marriage – Whatever happens, you and I are One. I will never give you away.
->One of you took a loan for a friend – it is an issue, and you need to deal with it in justice and mercy, forgive each other, and become one. Now, deal with it together!
->n-laws issue – Husbands don’t say “adjust” and wives don’t neglect it. Remind your extended family that you and your spouse are One.
->Child is sick / school issues – stop blaming each other. Unite in prayer and become One and deal with it as One.
“Treat every issue as an outside issue.”
- Proof No.1 – Adam & Eve
Adam was to be Eve’s guardian, but he failed. The devil convinced her that God wasn’t as good as they believed him to be and that she was less, though she was already like God.
There’s an insecurity that often arises in the woman. It is the husband’s duty to reassure her how beautiful and complete she is in Christ.
When Sin entered, instead of covering his wife, Adam blamed Eve and she went around bitter and sad.
But things are about to turn around: When God told her she was going to give birth with pain – Adam focused on the good truth and spoke out in faith
Gen 3:20-21 – Adam called her EVE (HAVVAH –LIVING). Because of this, God provided for their needs!
- Proof No.2 – Isaac & Rebekah
Gen 26:10-14 (KJV) Isaac gave away Rebekah in time of trouble, fearing his life. But after his marriage was restored, Isaac sowed and reaped 100 fold. Gen 26:12 “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him“
When you face problems in marriage
1 – Have an honest conversation about it in all humility
2 – Pray and seek God’s strength for the situation
3 – Submit to wisdom principles in the Word of God
4 – Come to an agreement based on truths
4 – Deal with the issue as ONE TEAM

Isa 61:10 . The Hebrew words for the Bride groom and the Bride:

->The first two letters of Bridegroom and the bride spell כח – jK . When put together we get the Hebrew word– KO’ACH = POWER
Dt 8:18 – “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth…”
Here the word Power (Ko’ach) is power to get wealth
Mat 19:6 – “…Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” – God who joined you is able to empower you to do marriage well.

“As you honour the covenant of marriage and unite as one, God will be at the center of your lives. He will provide for you, strengthen your bond, and supply all the wisdom and grace needed to face and overcome every challenge. As you stand together, you will be blessed in all that you do. Because, God who joined you is able to empower you to do marriage well. Amen!“
