Gal 3:13-14 says that Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: it is written, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree: that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ.”
Jesus’ death on the cross did not just redeem us from the curse of the law but made us beneficiaries of the blessing of Abraham. Notice that it is not “blessings” (plural) but “the blessing” (definite article, singular). Therefore we conclude that it is not just referring to Abraham’s riches and or possessions but to something greater, something that caused him to experience the lesser “blessings” of health and wealth.
This blessing of Abraham is “righteousness by faith”. The fact that you are counted righteous by simply putting your trust in what Jesus has accomplished for you on the Cross is the Blessing (Gal 3:6-8). So beloved, regardless of what your situation in life is remember you are made righteous in the eyes of God. You are accepted, loved and celebrated because you are in Christ Jesus. Cherish this truth. Experience the fullness of this blessing today. Amen?
God bless you!
